Hello guys!
Could you please help me decide which PSU to get in the future? Cooler Master V Semi-Modular Series, 750W, 80+ Gold OR Seasonic M12 II, 750W, 80+ Bronze? I also checked the PSU tier list so I know that they should both be really good, but which one is better?
Full story: I recently upgraded my system with a new graphics card - MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G - and I absolutely love it, however, I have had a couple (3 to be exact) of unexpected system restarts while gaming. Two times during Far Cry 4 and one time while playing Warframe (I was really surprised about that one). All temperatures were normal.
I'm starting to think that maybe my PSU is to blame here. As you will see, it's probably pretty bad, however, I never had this problem while using my old Gigabyte GTX760 OC Rev 2.0, which, as far as I know, should draw about the same power, am I right?
Additionally, I think that I might have been charging my phone using the USB cable when the restarts happened. Could this actually be the cause? To be honest, I really have no idea how much power does charging the phone require from the computer. Anyway, I have charged my phone while gaming with my old graphics card as well and the restarts never happened. Please excuse me for the relatively long post and my English, it is not my first language.
My system:
Intel, Core i5-4670 (3.4GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA1150);
MSI, GeForce GTX 970, 4GB, GDDR5, GAMING
Western Digital, 1TB, 7200rpm, 64MB, Sata III, Caviar Blu
Crucial Ballistix Sport, 8GB, DDR3, 1600MHz, CL9, Single stick
Asrock, Z87M Pro4
Inter-Tech, 650W, aPFC, 120mm fan
