ChromeOrb paste

Hello, has anybody had any experience with the default, self melting, heatsink grease that comes on the ChromeOrb? Should I scrape it off and use thermal paste? Thanks for your help.

I scraped mine off and put on Artic Silver(expensive but the best) and it lowered my cpu temp by about 4C. If you are really woried about every degree, no standard thermal paste is ever good enough no matter what cooler.
I have a Duron 650@800 (49C)
