Class Action Filed Against Electronic Arts Over Battlefield 4

This class action seems dubious to me. Just because some stock holders pushed the price up then panicked doesn't make a case. A balanced portfolio only allows 15% for this type of stock and volatility is expected. The stock market has been doing fine overall so these actions that are usually lead by the same group of activist is just a form of legal shakedown.
Changing the laws and allowing board members to influence the operation of companies and then making further changes allowing them to benefit from stock price manipulation is the crux of the problem here.
Is there any real doubt that the stock price will rebound, No.

Playing the stock market is worse than playing any game EA ever put out. Besides, you are supposed to buy before the rumors and sell before the real news.

I see all the comments and wonder wth is wrong with you people! You must have old, slow PC's mine plays it just fine! I have a Intel Q6600 at 3ghz, 8 GB Ddr2, 2 xfx 5770's cf, 240gb Intel SSD, and Win 8.1 and I have ran the game fine since day 1 finished the sp game first week and really the only problem I have had is all the updates making the servers be wonky! My PC has never blue screened or rebooted! You people need to learn how to make your PC work before you cut down a absolutely great game!

Roger Rogers,
I've tested over 200 games on Windows 8 (now 8.1) and found only three issues, all from Telltale Games.

Windows 8 is the most stable experience I've ever had.

Perhaps your issue is a hardware one such as bad memory, but aside from the new interface complaints Windows 8 is pretty amazing.

(As for BF4, well I always wait a minimum of three months after a game is released to even consider buying it just to see how the patching and review goes.)

No it's not, it's just you, Battlefield 4 runs fine on all the Windows 8.1 machines I see with varying hardware. If you're having that many issues, then there is a hardware fault, or it's user induced issues.

Same here, enjoying the game, max level already.

After the first week of fixing the server crashing I've had like no issues besides that annoying revive bug where it keeps showing the resurrection menu when someone revives you. BF4 seems really solid for me, no crashing, no disconnects, just balancing issues which is normal.

The launch was really rushed, it needed another 6 months of beta testing, people should not blame DICE, it's mainly EA time tables.

If there were just problems with Battlefield 4 i would say EA does not deserve this, but there have been massive bugs in every battlefield game thats came out in the past 5 years, so yeah, they had it coming.

DICE needs to redo their whole QA and Network Coding Department.

i really wish ea would have given dice an extra month to polish the game instead of racing to beat out infinity ward. My game still freezes every other game a month and a half after launch

How can anyone still be buying any EA games day one? If you ask for trouble, don't be surprised your wish is granted.

This game has been nothing but problems for me. Constant freezing/CTD, unable to connect to servers, flickering textures (or lack of textures resulting in a solid brown color for an entire map). The list goes on. I am currently unable to play it.

Its funny i purchased from origin from day one, and haven't experienced any major issues apart from an odd glitch here and there, on certain maps i do cop some fps drops, in multiplayer 45-60 fps on certain maps, whether its hardware limitations I don't know, my specs: Asrock 980DE3/U3S3 motherboard - Amd fx 8350@stock 4.0 ghz - corsair 16gb ddr3@1600 mhz - Gigabyte radeon hd 7970@stock 3gb - powered by a corsair cx 600 psu- and some kickass cooling but i wont go into that

Stocks should be illegal.......They are a perfect way to ruin a company, turn employees into numbers and take money away from those who deserve it......

BF4 is 90% efficient on my pc, only small glitches with server kicks and not being able to play through internet explorer. The teamspeak plugin wont work with IE, atleast on my rig, I use Chrome to play.

So much poor grammar, come on guys... killing me.

Anyway, I wish that they would grant BF4 premium to those who pre-ordered and are stuck with the pile of crap that is the buggy BF$. Second I would hope that they give some of the DLC away for free to those who didn't pre-order but rightly deserve something, other than the crap game they spent their hard earned money on.

You guys hating on stocks and stock holders are missing the point. The stock holder is not the problem, management using inside info to artificially inflate the stock price is. That's what Martha Stewart (and many others) went to prison for. That's what the lawsuit is about.

It means that this is not a Windows 8 exclusive issue.
In other words; if this is your argument for claiming Windows 8 were unstable, then following your logic, Windows 7 would be just as unstable.

Likewise, there are many people having the same problem on Windows 7 as you have on Windows 8.1.

Says the one who's acting the most immature and offensive around here. Oh, the irony.

Tell you what: Ever since I installed Battlefield 4 on my computer, it's got that habit of rebooting as soon as you perform some sort of demanding operation. It's never done that before.

Now, me with my measly 10 years of experience with computers decided to check my CPU temperature, and noticed it was abnormally high. I then opened my PC, removed my fan, and noticed that the thermal grease needed replacement. I removed the remaining grease, reapplied some new one, put everything back together, booted my PC, and played Battlefield 4 for like 5 hours.
My computer was as good as new.

If I had been you instead, I probably would've blamed Battlefield 4 or EA for breaking my PC, lol.
Like I said: "experience means nothing, if you never learned a thing". It's got nothing to do with being self-centered; it's the obvious truth.

Only If. Nvidia could try to call a industrial espionage on EA for promising full pc compatibility and removing files needed to run on NV's product & only allow people with AMD Cards to play…. Oh wait, Thats whats going on here…

@Rhinofart (funny name BTW) Anyway you are right, a quick search on that BSOD shows that it is related to graphics driving passing on faulty data meaning either the program or the driver is bad and not the OS. It could also be overheating (the plague of troubleshooting) and any other of many hardware related problems as well.

Have bf 3 but wont buy BF 4 if i cant get a premuim edition hard copy with all the patches Enough with endless patches . Let the wait begin
