So they lawyers will get rich, the shareholders will get a few cents per share dividend and the company will go broke and never produce another game. Good thing we have lawsuits. Would be better to use the money to fix the product, not pay the lawyers.

Trust me I cant wait for the day EA goes belly up I use to be a big supporter of EA but some just realize all they care about is money buddy... I have been playing games online for over 20 years back in the day were we would stack modems for faster speed had my hands on every game console made to play on right down to first one for black and white tv .. I have seen the good and the bad ...I remember a day when Dice was part of the community interacting with us now his hands are tied and forced to do what EA tells him .I don't hate him as a game maker cause the guy has talent but EA puts to much pressure on him and his crew to get games out before they are ready just so they fill there pockets with money ..made mods for BF2 but hung up my BF3 well over a year ago promising myself they would never screw me over again ..some of use have willpower and can see through there smoke screen ...BF3 before it came out EA spent how much money promoting a game they said would be the game of the year with adds maybe they should have used that money in the games instead of bullshitting the community only award they got was worst company of the year ...If you keep supporting them all your going to get is bullshit stories and when they do go under a game that will have no support or servers.. think about how many games people have bought off them and then they killed it leaving people with a useless product you cant even play single player on not to mention forcing you to sign there bullshit rules for game play and waver for not suing them sounds like they realize there gaming days are coming to a end ..43 guys in my group now we all played bf3 not one of use do anymore ...Would you like to buy my origin account ? because my plan now is to play it on the leaked server files servers that are up just so they can take my games like they have threatened every body with just so they can take it and stick it up there a$$...

Not to mention it still looked like crap so really don't know what he is bragging about other then he had to update his video card to play a crappie game.. if he thought those burning vehicles looked good think he needs to get his eyes checked lol just wish people would drop EA then Dice would be able to go on his own and build some good games and get back the community he was part of in the past ..until EA is out of his working space this is the type of game we will get ..

Um, LOLWUT?

Dice is Digi illusions CE, not a person? If your referring to the man who created the game's engine, I can understand. As far a EA goes, God knows how many 1,000,000 burgers the CEO's going stuff his face with this next week and watch sales on over priced DLC go though the roof...

Stock holders should have no say before or after a product release. This lawsuit is crap. If the lawsuit is going to stay, give the money to the gamers, not the stock holders. They probably didn't even have to endure the bugs at launch.

For what it's worth, the shareholders are the actual owners of the company; that's how stocks work. And also, by law, publicly traded corporations are tasked with maximizing shareholder wealth. Finally, recent research suggests that some of the most hated companies (hated by consumers and employees) still do well on the market. I'm not saying I agree with any of this, or that I support the ethics. Simply adding some information.

That is what makes this story unique - a company put out a noticeably flawed product, and may actually have to face some consequences. This is unusual. Not long ago, many banks played a major role in tanking the US economy, but rather than receive punishment they were bailed out by the Fed and a number of executives received bonuses. I screw up all the time, where's my bonus?

@ Steve.

How do you stack modems for better speed? I started my online days back in the 9600 Baud era, and I've never ever heard of pooling multiple dialup modems together to get better speed out of them. How would that even work? I get the premise of it because we bundle NICs on our ESX clusters, but I really don't get it for dialup modems.

or just buy all of the stock, and move DICE to a different corporation/publisher, wouldn't surprise me if valve/steam bought in real quick...
