Cleaned cpu and repplied paste. cpu fan spins for a sec then stops. Computer wont boot

Cleaned cpu, reapplied paste and when I try to boot the pc the cpu fan starts for a sec then stops. The green light is on the motherboard. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Hi,

Check the power cable, the 4 or 8 pins and the cpu fan plug if they are plugged in properly.
