Hey. sup all. i have a question. this problem has been bothering me and is a
real pain. sometimes, wen i start up my pc, before the windows xp loading
screen, i get "cmos error-default checksum loaded". then ican press f1 to
continue or delete to enter setup. so far ive went into cmos, jus opened and
closed it, and restarted cuz sometimes wen u jus open and close cmos it works
but it didnt. ive also replaced the battery on the motherboard. it still does
it,. every time it does this error, it screws up my time and i have to keep
putting in my serial number for a couple programs. please help.

Check the Battery contacts. They may be dirty or not giving good contact to
the battery. The new battery could be bad, I have found some "new" batteries
to be real low on voltage.
