Hi all, everytime time I want to enter my bios I need to reset my cmos. I can boot to Windows fine everytime with no problem but if I don't reset my Cmos then I don't get the screen where you are supposed to press F2 or Delete to enter the bios, it just goes straight to Windows.
As well as that, for some reason the fan curves I am setting in the bios aren't actually applying themselves as when I enter Windows, it completely ignores what I set them too. However, the other bios setting I have set, such as RAM speeds and FClock stick to what I set them to.

This is all on an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard with the latest bios, new cmos battery, latest chipset and a fresh install of Windows.

some boards seem to have an issue with this and setting the fan curves inside of Windows with the motherboard control software is the only way to guarantee custom fan curve profiles.

if not currently using any, you'd find it on the manufacturer product support page downloads section.

sounds like there is a "Fast Boot" option enabled by default that would need to be disabled while within the BIOS.
there is also different types Windows tweaking software you can use to set or extend the amount of time the options screen with "press F2 or delete" will display.

I am using Argus Monitor currently as Asus' motherboard software for some reason isn't letting me control the fans.

It did cross my mind at one point that this may be the issue, but I had this turned on for my old motherboard too so I assumed that it couldn't of been. I will try this now though, thankyou for the help.
