Recently I've noticed my GPU make loud audible sounds when gaming. I thought maybe it was a bad GPU cause it only started recently. When playing any game such as The Witcher 3 or Control the Whine varies but its always there. Its the worst during Control. When panning the camera it alternates in pitch. I've read if FPS is to high the GPU can make these sounds. This isn't the cause cause my monitor only supports 144hz so i always cap it at 144. The only thing I've changed out of my rig recently is my RAM and my PSU. When swapping my gpu to a different rig the noise no longer persists. I have used DDU and a fresh install of windows to no change. Any ideas what it could be?

Solution
Coil whine can happen with certain hardware combinations BUT does not affect performance but can get annoying. Try the card in another PC w/different hardware
