Are there any alternatives to having a PCI switch for cold cathode lights? I really don't like the fact that in order to be able to turn them on and off i lose a PCI slot.
You probably could get by with a drill and a file.
Make a template of the opening you need. Use the drill to remove the majority of the material and use the file to get the finished fit you'd want.

Doesnt the 900 come with a 3/1" front panel/floppy insert? I'd use that and build on that instead of cutting the mesh front of the 900 panels. Maybe even something on the side of the case might work better.
