[SOLVED] Compatability of replacement harddrive with old laptop

I have an old laptop Asus R202CA and I want to make it go faster by installing a SSD hard drive.

Before I buy a replacement hard drive, what should I check in order to make sure I get something that is compatible?

Do I just buy any 2.5 inch SSD?

(Note: I'm running Linux, if that's important.)

Yes, it uses a standard 2.5" SATA drive. Any 2.5" SSD will work fine.
