Hey everyone! I’ve been looking at upgrading my PC.

Here are the parts I am considering buying:
  • Intel core i7-12700k
  • be quiet dark rock pro 4
  • ASUS prime z690m plus d4 micro atx
  • crucial ballistix max 16gb ddr4 4000 mhz
  • Sabrent rocket Q m.2 2tb
  • msi Radeon 6700 xt
  • thermaltake core v21 micro atx
  • EVGA BQ 850W psu
  • windows 10 (upgrade to 11)

I haven’t been in the PC building game for 4 years so I’m not sure if this setup will work well, or if it will bottleneck.

I’m trying to play Halo Infinite, GTA, Forza Horizon 5, Hitman 3, Metro Exodus (non-enhanced), and Battlefield 2042 at 72+ fps on 1080p ultra settings.

Obviously, the prices for GPUs are crazy, but I’m okay with spending extra

There's always going to be a bottleneck somewhere. Worry more if it'll get you the performance you want.

If you want to start, look at reviews for the i7-12700K and the 6700XT for 1080p benchmarks, and take the lower of the two numbers.
Understood. I’ve seen some benchmarks for them and it seems like this is a good combo, even for 1440p. I think I’ll go with this setup. Also, dumb question; will the Be Quiet dark rock pro 4 come with appropriate mounting for the LGA 1700 socket?

I think the product site always shows that, since 1700 is pretty new so yeah, you might find the info on their site.

Quick check told it doesn't

BUT you can buy one LGA 1700 mounting kit for the dark Rock pro 4 from their own site, here's the link
