A good friend of mine is in the process of specifying a system (working parts list is below).
The question is twofold:
- Will the Noctua D15 fit his motherboard, or should he go with the D15S?
Or the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 or 4?

- Given one of the coolers above, I assume the RAM will fit fine. If he decided to add a little RGB will you even be able to see the Trident Z RAM given the size of the coolers?

Thank you.

What is this to be used for? Everything should work but that’s storage overkill for most uses. Also typically populating both m.2 slots disables sata ports so might be short there, cant tell from the description.

If he needs a media server, a nas would be better suited. The 970s are not functionally faster than 860 Evos in most user scenarios.

Thanks for the reply; the system is intended for video editing with Premiere Pro, and some gaming. We went with the Nvme as the cost difference was minimal at the time versus the SATA drives. He will likely eliminate the 850 EVO.

I am concerned about RAM fitment with regard to coolers....are any of the ones noted above a potential problem?

Again, thanks.
