I am going to build a computer, i would like to perform gaming (FSX, FC3, BF3, etc), some photoshop and mainly watching videos. I will list my parts and their prices, the price is the max i will pay so if there are any better parts make sure they are same or less than my orginal ones. All parts are on scan.co.uk

CPU: AMD FX8350 AM3+ 4GHz (8core) = £131.80
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Pro3 = £55.16
Case: X Predator X1 - No PSU = £39
RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS3 = £53.76
PSU: ThermalTake 730watt ATX = £53.70
Graphics: MSI Radeon R9 3GB = £145
Cool: Corsair H80 = £53.33

i ain't forgot hard drive or disk drive, i already have them.

Use https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ when configuring a part list as it lists cheapest prices of hardware...

Anyway, that is a good enough build for the games you want to play.

I'm assuming that's the r9 280 as well as you didn't list it properly.

The only thing I would recommend is a better motherboard. I had the Pro 3 on 2 other builds. The VRM and cooling for the power circuit are not very good on the Pro 3. It's OK for midrange stuff but I would not put an FX 8 core on it.

Something like the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P will handle an FX 8 core CPU much better. 8+2 phase power circuit and good LLC/OC support. And it is not too expensive either.

Got my FX 6350 to 4.95GHz stable on that board. Very solid.

I thought my motherboard would of been a good choice as on Scan.co.uk (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asrock-970-pro3-r20-amd-am3plus-ddr3-sata-6gbs-pci-e-2-atx-motherbaord) it says it supports AM3+ 8 core CPU's which mine would be but I will look into the motherboard you suggested to.

And yes you are correct, the graphics is the R9 280
