Computer connected on LAN, can I use Mobile 3g Internet Connection Windows 7

Hello, at work I am connected to the LAN via ethernet cable, but internet access is terribly slow - cant even browse internet properly (work network uses a proxy to connect to internet - not sure if that is relevant). I would like to remain connected to the LAN via ethernet (to provide easy connection to intranet and mail exchange server, but for outside internet connections, I would like to use a mobile 3g connection.

Is this possible using windows 7? I have tried but can only manage either/or connection.

it is possible and will need administrator rights to set it up. Talk to IT

However, if you would work at my company you would get fired for circumventing network security since your 3G might be granting access to the network through your computer.
