I recently recased my PC into a bigger case after moving. In the process I believe I plugged drives into different sata ports than before.

On first boot it would give me a pop up with options to choose windows booter and other options (I would choose windows booter manually every time). As of recent it gives me a system message with the option to press del to run bios or del to run boot menu. but I can’t get passed. Keyboard lights up and power button is responsive but pressing the keys does nothing.

Upon first research I thought it might be related to windows fast boot disabling usb. I ordered a USB to PC/2 adaptor to try and bypass this but it didn’t work.

I also previously tried removing the drives one at a time and then all together.

This is where I currently stand. Does anyone have suggestions? Sorry if my formatting is weird this is my first post to forum. Thank you in advance!

System is windows 10 I believe
MSI A68HI AC
Radeon r7
1050 TI

Unplug Pc from wall and hold down the power switch for 20 seconds. Unplug all but your "C" drive. Plug back in and try to boot.

If it works and you get into windows cool. Shut down and boot one more time. If still good now plug in next drive. Try to boot If good your on the right track.
Thank you for your reply! I did as you suggested. Trying each of the sata ports with the 20 seconds of button in between and haven’t found luck.

I’m open to all suggestions. Somebody recommended getting a disk drive and reinstalling as a last resort but I’d like to try as many things as I can before then.

If I find a solution I will report back!

Next step would be Unplug Pc from wall and hold down the power switch for 20 seconds.

Remove motherboard battery for 10 minutes.

Replace battery plug back in and see if you can get pick defaults in bios to boot.
Thanks for the suggestion I was finally able to try this without luck. Am gonna try to leave the motherboard battery disconnected overnight and report back again
