computer freezes when I select / highlight one specific file

Hi..My entire computer freezes when I select one specific file.Its a 1 and
1/2 gb avi file that I want to delete..As soon as I click on that file all
freezes..i can't right click ,can't use keyboard shortcuts..nothing helps.It
is only that 1 file ,all other files in that folder work correctly.Any help
will be greatly appreaciated.ps.I have windows xp 2 and all current avirus
definitions and i defrag regularly Thanks, Ray

Hi Ray,

Can you use the curser to draw a box around the file to select it and
press DEL?

Hi..Thanks for your response.I never thought of doing that .I'll keep it in
my mind for future problems.I solved the problem by defragmenting and then by
opening adobe premiere elements video program and I went to select to add
that one specfic file but I instead right clicked and deleted it from within
priemiere elements..Thanks for your answer though ,it may help in future
