My brother's wife is wanting to get him an upgrade to his computer for their upcoming anniversary. It's been years since I've done any work with computers, so I'm not really sure what to tell her.

Here's his current setup:

CPU
AMD A6-3620 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics 2.20 GHZ

GPU
AMD Radeon HD 6530D

Baseboard Manufacturer:
PEGATRON Corp.

Baseboard Product: 2ACF

Baseboard Version: 1.03

Memory Installed:
8.00 GB RAM

What would be a good upgrade from this? He used the computer for gaming, mostly.

It doesn't need to be too extravagant.

Hey guys...I'm not sure, honestly. His wife said that the price dictates whether it'll be an anniversary give, or several holidays worth of gifts!

But...let's say less than $1k.
