Hey guys, I'm looking for a computer (desktop or laptop) that'll be able to run Starcraft II on some pretty good settings, preferably high. I would like to keep the computer itself under $1000, and $900 would be even better. However, I don't really know much about computers and what's available out there, so I figured I'd post here and see what I got back.

I'm looking to use it for both school (Office required) and almost exclusive SC2 gaming. I'll probably be able to convince my parents to buy me a monitor, so that's not a worry.

I'm looking forward to your thoughts and ideas regarding my search, and what you might suggest. Thanks again.

I was including everything directly on/in the computer. So all the software, operating systems, etc. Monitors, keyboards, etc. are not being included in the $900.

Budget Range: $600-900; After Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: School (...), gaming, storing movies on (looking to go from a DVD collection to an external harddrive)

Parts Not Required: Monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, external harddrive)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: n/a

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: No real preferences

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Additional Comments: I am NOT looking to build my own, I feel like I'd need at least a reasonable amount of knowledge with what I'm doing.

Now, IF I were to attempt to build my own (and I'm not saying that I am), could you give me an approximation of how long until it'd be ready for use? And how much do you guys normally spend on this type of thing? Seeing as how you all seem to have done this at least thrice.

i'm guessing you will need windows 7 and office.....You could try Open office i use it all the time and its a good program and its free

Is it the exact same thing? Because Word, PowerPoint, etc. are a must have for me.
