For the past few weeks, red artifacts would appear when I play games. This precedes the moment when my computer would crash or restart.
After delving into the vast archive of threads in Tom's Hardware, I have observed that the most popular indication is that either my computer has either a faulty graphics card or power supply.
Hence, I have decided to upgrade my 2-year-old computer.
Current Computer Speculations:
Processor: Intel Core i3 4350 Dual-Core 3.60GHz
Motherboard: ASUS H81M-D/E Plus Micro ATX LGA1150
Memory: A-Data XPG V2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
Storage: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Graphics Card: Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB
Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX
Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 24.0" 144Hz
The games that I play are League of Legends and Overwatch. I am hoping to get two suggestions: (1) components that can play Overwatch at 144 FPS on the highest video settings, and (2) components that can play Overwatch at 144 FPS even if on the lowest settings. This is so that I can compare and decide whether I should spend more money in order to play Overwatch at 144 FPS on the highest settings or spend enough to play Overwatch on any settings, as long as it's at 144 FPS.
What would you recommend?
