Just another reason we should simply shoot hackers upon discovery.....It's really sad that some people need to screw with others just to prove they can or to get some perverse enjoyment!!!

may be the virus is hard wired to the computer parts the were manufactured from china :).

[citation][nom]Zingam[/nom]Why do you believe that Linux is safer? Aren't there enough reports that Linux security isn't that great in regard to computer viruses, etc? These reports state that Linux needs a lot more work in that respective area. Just because nobody cares to write viruses for Linux, it doesn't mean that they are not possible.[/citation]
The point is that with Linux they can strip the OS right back and remove everything that isn't related to flying drones. Less chance of exploits that way.

[citation][nom]jsc[/nom]Name one culture with better (not equal to, but better) cultural values than the US.[/citation]
Better or worse cultural values is an illusion because there isn't a way to compare them.

This is part of the problem with allowing our technology to be built in other countries. For security purposes, we should be building all of our computers and components here in the US. It would be more expensive but people don't stop to consider how much of a security threat we open ourselves up to by buying parts and software from different countries.

In other words, they use the keystrokes data and images to decipher the encoding algorithm. Once they have access to the algorithm, they could disrupt the drones, or even use military weapons against the military!

am i the only one that think if the damn thing is reappearing after a proper "purge and wipe" then chances are someone is reintroducing the thing knowingly or unknowingly

I'd like to actually see these reports you speak of.
Of course it's possible to write a virus for any OS, but the fact any virus made for Linux would have to be manually given root privileges makes it inherently more secure.

[citation][nom]Zingam[/nom]US was at it's best and most respected when your country was in isolation and did mind it's own business. And that was without the nonstop media propaganda: How great it is to eat at MacDonalds and wear jeans.[/citation]

Pearl Harbor?

I mean, otherwise a good point?

Idiots, this is what happens when you don't have encryption on the signal to the plane.

Spies are learning how they work now by comparing the key logging to the unencrypted signals...

[citation][nom]kcorp2003[/nom]dammit its the MACHINES! SKYNET IS REAL! JUDGEMENT DAY FOOLS! RISE AGAINST THE MACHINES BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.[/citation]
...im gonna miss my computer 🙁. well here it goes; il get my axe.

[citation][nom]tokencode[/nom]Is our military really this terrible? If your remote vehicle control system with guided missles is infected with a virus, YOU STOP USING IT. If it can log keystrokes, I'm sure it can insert them into the keyboard buffer potentially. They can't figure out how to remove a virus? How do you know this thing can't recieve a different payload? This country that our military has such incompentent security "experts" for the amount of money spent on our defense infrastructure. Have they considered bringing the PC to Best Buy's Geek Squad?[/citation]

I think its time to lobby for the right to buy stinger AA shoulder fired missiles. You never know when skynet will become self aware.

Military they don't think outside the box. Got a virus but can't delete it cuz it keeps coming back. Well.... you didn't delete it or get rid of it then. Prob just need to apply SP3 the DRONE or the DRONE workstation...haaa dont' use Windoze!!
