Computer will only work if opening BIOS per bootup

I don't know what I have changed for this to start happening, but every time I want to boot up or restart my computer, I have to press DEL to enter BIOS, and then just instantly save and exit.
If I do not press DEL, it will tell me there is no proper boot device, and I have to restart again with the DEL trick. I have already replaced the cmos battery, what component could be flawed? or is this software related?

did you reset the bios to default settings since you get a new battery in also when it boot does it have current date and time .

Yeah, The BIOS was reset a few times as in the past that was a solution to an earlier problem.
I just restarted the computer and on the black screen where it shows what is plugged in, it had a date back in 2016, and then it lead to the no boot device screen. However, when I do my BIOS solution, the date and time was correct

i would check the little tab under the battery she could have not made contact with her and battery is loose , gently pry her up it happens to me on a old win 7 system .
