i recently build a new ryzen3700x system with msi gaming plus x570 mobo latest bios and was using it with my old gt 1030

today my gtx 1660 arrived i installed new 1660 to pcie 4 x16 slot and put 1030 to the other pcie 3 x16 slot

the system won't boot not even bios just show all fans and led working

ez debug led shows vga led

the system works fine with one gpu in either pcie slot

i even tried other gpu combo gt 1030 + gt 610

none work

mobo supports crossfire so it should support multi gpu ( i just want 2 gpu not sli )

ps i need to pass through a gpu to a virtual machine

It would have to be a REALLY weak PSU if the PSU was the cause, no? I mean, the 1660 is a 120W card, and the 1030 is a 30W card. That's not a whole lot of power even added together.
Until we know exactly what he has that's the only plausible explanation. For all we know right now he has some no name 300 Watter that can only put out 175W on the 12V rail (downhill, on a good day, with a tail wind)

If I am not mistaken .... doesnt crossfire work with AMD only cards and with Nvidia you need an SLI bridge to run multiple GPU, and the card have to be SLI compatible
