Computer won't detect my sound card

I have an ASUS Streix raid pro and i installed it yesterday on my computer on my pcie 4 slot on my asrock z97 mobo using a dual molex to 6 pin adapter because my gpu is using the only 2 6 pins i had.

This morning I took my sound card out because I wanted to put it in the pcie 1 slot instead so it is above my gpu and not underneath it where thr fans are but now my computer won't detect my sound card.

I tried putting it back in the original pcie 4 slot where i first had it but computer still won't detect it. I've tried to reinstall the driver but the installation gets so far and says error no sound card device detected. The led on the sound card is on inside the tower so it must be recieing power but my pc won't detect it I don't know what to do.

I think I'm going to upgrade my psu anyway to a fully modular one soon because inside my pc case is a right mess I need to take everything out and rewire everything. Wires are everywhere all over the place I'm not good at sorting the cables out plus that way I can attach a 6 pin directly from my psu to sound card aswell instead of using 4 pin molex adapters.

Do you know anyone or a company that offers a service to do all the cable management for people that suck at building pcs haha

Maybe local pc shop. I don't know of any specialist services like that, haven't looked into it. If there was would want it close so you can physically give the case to them instead of running the risk damage through shipment. Better off doing it yourself, good practice

I've just realised something. The Asus raid strix Pro isn't even listed as one of the supported sound cards for the razer tiamat 7.1 v2 on the razer website... Is the soundcard too weak or not fully powering/supporting my headset then?

Depends when sound card and headphones were released they probably didn't get a chance to test.
