Hello!

I wanted to put another HDD (Seagate Baracuda 2TB 2,5'') in an Acer ConceptD 3 Pro laptop and it just won't recognise it. I tried the disk in another laptop and my workstation to test if it is faulty - it isn't. Now I've tried a 1TB WD Blue and it is recognised without a problem.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
This Acer laptop has a bridge connection cable that looks weird to me and I got it exchanged for a new one (they said that the old was faulty).

If anyone has any idea what it might be or how I could resolve this please share your thoughts.

Sincerely,
a man on a mission.

Solution
Have you asked Acer?
When you install the Bararcuda, can you see it in Disk Manager? If so, have you initialised it?
In Disk Management, right-click the disk you want to initialize, and then click Initialize Disk. If the disk is listed as Offline, first right-click it and select Online. Note that some USB drives don't have the option to be initialized, they just get formatted and a drive letter.
