[SOLVED] Confused about what ram to purchase as an upgrade for my Ryzen 2600x!

Hello!

Currently I have a Ryzen 2600x, on a " TUF B450M GAMING PLUS Motherboard"
The ram I have right now is a " T-Force Dark 2400mhz 14 - 16 - 16 - 31 - 56" (D.O.C.P enabled in bios, ratings found from CPU-Z)
Im looking to upgrade to a better kit, I've found two on amazon and im having trouble figuring out which one is better then the other.

I've heard lots of people say lower latency is better then frequency and something along the lines of that, could anyone just point me in the right direction? ( Or send a better ram kit) (Im not even sure my motherboard supports 3600 mhz lol )

Alright but which one is the best choice for me? I don’t know if my motherboard can support 3600mhz and I don’t even know what timings are good and aren’t. The two choices I have are 3600 cl 18 and 3200 cl 16

You would have to have a great 2600x to get it to run memory at 3600Mhz

You having problems with your current ram? For the minimal possible performance increase per dollar it just doesn't seem cost effective to me if you're not having technical problems with your current ram. I might be considering just adding to it if the current slots/sticks config would support that and your under 32GB now.

I can think of a lot of other ways to spend that money.

Anyway, just my 2 cents.

I don't think he's intending to, I think he's talking about replacing. At least that's how I read it. It may have sounded like I was suggesting that, but I wasn't.

I might consider adding more of the same ram but I guess I didn't specify that.

You are right. I think the best upgrade would be to save up enough for a 5600X for when Asus release compatible bios for B450 motherboards
