Hi, I have a monitor with D-Sub & DVI-D ports and I am about to buy a Mini PC that has HDMI & VGA ports; I thus assume there are four options four options for connection, via an adapter. My question is which would be the preferred option for achieving best quality.

Solution
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!! I'll get the appropriate adapter.
The same limitation will apply to either DVI or VGA. Digital copy protected high resolution streaming, like NetFlix may not work at high res. The DVI and VGA interfaces don't support the copy protection handshake required to allow high res streaming.

Thanks so much for taking the trouble to expand on this!! I do not use NetFlix, but following your clarification, if I have trouble watching other VOD stuff I will not automatically blame my future new PC or my internet provider.
