Question Connectivity problem with HDMI Extender ?

Recently I bought a Kinan extender for my job. I try my best to finish the installation but unfortunately I find it does not work!

The extender is DP port, but one of my monitors is DP, and another is HDMI. So I bought an adapter to change into HDMI, but the HDMI monitor didn't show anything, just a black screen. Is the connections wrong?
I haven't bought a new adapter yet. I want to make sure if there is something wrong with the adapter. If you need a connection diagram, I can provide one.

What are the makes and models of your monitors? What is your display output device? A discrete GPU or the motherboard's display output ports?

Sorry, it is not an extener, it is a switch. The HDMI adapter link. The monitor is Lenovo, and the laptop is Apple. Thanks for your reply.
