Hi there,

Fairly amateur when it comes to all things tech-related, but i recently made a swap from a GTX 1060 to an Radeon RX 580. I went through the full process of uninstalling all of the old GPU drivers and installing all the new ones which seemed to work absolutely fine, but now I'm getting the odd varying BSOD or complete PC which I can't seem to get rid of (yesterday, I completely lost monitor output until I completely unplugged the GPU and reinstalled it).

My most recent crash had this error message in event viewer:
Error setting traits on Provider {8444a4fb-d8d3-4f38-84f8-89960a1ef12f}. Error: 0xC0000001
Which i then thoroughly googled and followed all recommended steps with no issues.

My most recently BSOD had this error message:
"kernel security check failure"
Which I again thoroughly googled and tried to resolve, but it just seems to keep popping up, and I'm just not sure what to do next. I'm also assuming it's not temp related, because both the CPU and GPU never run over 70 c.

The rest of my PC specs are:
Ryzen 5 3600
MSI B450 carbon max motherboard
16 GB Corsair RAM
750 watt power supply

Any help, advice or suggestions are welcome.

Exact make and model of your PSU?

Was the 580 new or used?

Did you run DDU to remove previous drivers? If not, follow this guide:
