Hello people,

I've been having this annoying issue for some time now and decided to try to fix it for good. My problem is that my audio (and only the audio, no video or any other kind of stutter) will cut constantly every few secconds, simple instantaneous cuts that last as long as a click sound, the worst part is that after a few minutes of cuts, my headphones start making a REALLY loud sort of TV static noise that forces me to take them off immediately, this static noise isn't constant but it happens whenever there's any kind of audio playing, from music or a video, to the key press sound effect that Opera GX has.

This noise lasts for almost a minute and then it goes back to normal, unplugging and plugging back my headphones doesn't help and it doesn't seem to be a physical connection issue since i've tried to wiggle the jack around when this is happening but this doesn't have any effect, what does indeed fix the problem at least for a few minutes is changing the audio format (the 32bit 48000hz, etc stuff) from any setting to any other setting.

This problem started happening a few months back, I used to use the Sonic Studio software (awful piece of software, i know) since i liked the bass enhancement feature it provided, but one day the program froze and gave me a generic error while changing the audio settings, i closed it and opened it again and i still had problems, i ended up uninstalling the program completely but ever since that freeze my problem started.

At first i thought it might be an issue with my ATH M50x headset, or the way i connect it (3.5mm pass-through with my razer keyboard) but it also happens with my wireless corsair headset, so im inclined to believe this is a software issue. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling my audio drivers over and over, remove all third-party audio enhancers and even roll-back my audio drivers but nothing helps.

Now for my system specs:
Asus Strix z690 Gaming A WiFi D4
i7 12700k
RTX 3080ti
Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 2x16 GB c16 3600mhz DDR4
ATH M50x and Corsair H80
Razer Blackwidow Elite
Windows 11 latest version

Please ask any questions needed in order for my problem to be as clear as possible. (also in case i posted on the wrong forum topic please let me know)
Thank you kindly for your time and help.

1) Plug headset straight into PC for the entire length of troubleshooting.
2) Actually you should be set at 24bit/44khz, as it is all the range & quality you will ever hear.
3) It is clear that the past software set settings your PC cannot handle or erroneous.

Ah yes, i forgot to mention i have also tried plugging my headphones directly into the mobo but it still happens. I am currently testing plugged directly into my pc and using 24/44khz, the problem persists.

I personally have similar issue after i finished my RAM overclocking session. If you haven't tried it, try fixing your Windows installation. This is the guide I personally use for it, and also refer.
