When you all submitted your entry did you get some sort of confirmation? An email or message after you clicked submit? All I got was a blank page after I clicked submit so I have no clue if my submission was entered.

i would suggest .750 or .500 for average size but the average candy size would be around those numbers but if you factor in the width and the hight and length say .500 by .250 by .150 then you would be safe to say either .600 to 800 range.. would be good enough. thus most of your numbers are way high..

im a quality control manager for a company with a 10000+ product line. i may not get this right but hey i bet im dam close..

25,500 is my guess 😀!!!

Formula
24" x 24" x 8.75" = 4896 cu.in. = Case
6" x 6" x 12" = 432 cu.in. = (1) 10 lbs. Box of candy corn
4896 cu.in. / 432 cu.in. = 11.333 boxes fit in case
Estimated weight of (1) piece of candy corn is 0.0040084048 lbs
10 / 0.0040084048 = 2250 = pieces of candy corn in 10 lbs box (including gaps because candy corn is not a perfect rectangle)
2250 * 11.333 = 25,500 (pieces of candy corn fits inside case)

(You guys might say but its 9", here's the thing, there are slots inside of the pc, and etc. which accounts for me guessing about .25" of volume lost somewhere. and I decided to put it on the 9".)

Some of you guys got fairly close, but my estimate should not be more then a hundred or so off. I already own the case, I purchased it from Newegg.com but didn't have the time to build a system yet. When I saw that they used the same case in this contest, I went to jellybelly.com to purchase a bulk supply of candy corn, it was $81 for a 10 pound bag of candy corn so I just purchased 2 bags. I used the youtube video of them pouring the candy corn into the case as a reference, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr7ZAsPMAUk

but since I didn't purchase as many candy corn bags as they did to fill up the entire case, I of course had to section off the case so that I could fill each section individually, then empty that section and move on.

I should have a damn good chance of winning, especially since I submitted multiple entries + and - 25, 50, 100, 150 candy corns of my original estimate that I found out by filling the case with candy corns. When I submitted the multiple entries I made sure I used friends and familys computers so the IP address was different and used their address and information with their consent of course.

I like my odds of winning this or as least one of the runner up prizes, unless other people did the exact same thing as I did. If you want to know what I did with all the candy corn, I kept a few pounds for myself, and gave a bunch of it away to friends, family, and alot of it to trick-r-treaters that rang my door bell on Halloween.

You do realize that admitting to cheating on the site holding the competition is not the greatest way to win...

Even with the case and the corn, significant variation will exist due to vibration and packing density. Loose pack verses highest vibration packing can easily equal 20% difference. Hence, any number between 25000 and 30000 could be the "official" answer depending on how well and consistently they shook while filling. Take your best guess and good luck.

I have a question... If i win do i get the candy 2? b/c i am a sucker for candy corn
