Planning on getting a new CPU cooler to match my upgrade to either a 5600 or 5600x in the near future. The A500 is on sale atm and I can get it for ~£35 which is the same price amazon is selling the hyper 212 black edition.

I heard that the A500 isnt great at its usually price range, but at this reduced price is it a no brainer as to whether I should buy this now while its cheap instead of buying the Hyper 212 when I get the new CPU?

I will be planning on moderately overclocking whichever CPU I choose to get if that helps the decision.

The 212 if there is no wiggle room. I just don’t like the cooler, my own bias.. I have one you could have for shipping, but you’d probably need a backplate for am4.
I actually have a 212 EVO but no bracket for AM4 and cant seem to find one. Kept my i5 4670K under 70 degrees at 4.5GHz for these past few years and apparently the black edition is better so had no problem buying it again.

I guess I can give a little slack on the budget if you think it's worth it, but probably not AIO level of budget.

I got the Hyper 212 black edition after doing some research for my build. I'm not overclocking and I don't trust AIO coolers, so it depends on what you're looking for. If you're gonna overclock using an air cooler you may want something bulkier.
