So guy i decided to use my old and trusted ck550 today

but when i installed the cooler master portal 1.0.1 from coolermaster website (ck550)

i found that it doesnt work, when it starts it justs opens up and says the message

"failed to download the information file"....



furthermore it doesnt "see" my CK 550 ....

what i can do? need to control the RGB of the keyboard

anyone have a clue why this is happening?..

Considering that the CK550 has two SKU's, I'm assuming this is the keyboard you're trying to work with;

It's the only one of the that has CM's Portal app showing up in downloads section.

As for your platform, what keyboard were you working with prior to the CK550? Did you install the app in question in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

So
i was working with a hyperx alloy origins with aqua switches. (I send it for repair)

The ck550 was working fine before and I was using it until last summer when I switched to hyperx keyboards

I had win 10 back then though moreover the cm portal was working just fine.

Now days im on win 11 and i had a fresh windows install after upgrading my nvme os drive a month ago.

And yes i used administration rights.
The app is successfully installed but when i opening i have the message
failed to download the information file"....
on a small window and thats it.. the ck550 doesn't exist in the app ...

Though its working just fine but the leds are too bright i cant work like this.....
