I'm about to buy a HP ProLiant ML310 G5 Server, but I'm not happy with the noise it makes. I'm buying a version with a Intel Quad-Core Xeon 2.13 GHz (X3210) CPU in it, and since it use fan ducting I will have to replace both CPU cooling and case cooling to make it less noisy. As I've understood the Xeon processors draw more heat and therefore needs more cooling than usual Core 2 models, but how much more? Obviously it's for server usage so stability is of the essence - it doesn't have to be super silent, but the current 45dB is unacceptable.

Any suggestions?
