I purchases a Titan VANESSA NK25TB/SC(RB) 120mm Universal Cooling Fan with Heatsink without reading the fine print 🙁

this will not work on my AMD Athlon™ X2 6400+ Black......

What would you guys recommend as an alternative to this cool looking fan..

I don't know how you rank your aesthetics, but Frostytech is a good place to start to look for CPU coolers.

Just look at the Top 5 AMD HSFs, and they should be AM2 compatible. Make sure to double check though .

I agree, the hyper 212 is cheap and a good cooler.
Also if it will fit the older s939, it will fit all the way up to sAM3.
They are all the same mounting system.

I was thinking about the Noctua NH-D14 but I guess I need to look into the Hyper now.

The D14 is about the best air cooler out, but it is HUGE
and alot more money.

The Hyper 212 will cool your 6400 just as
good for less money.

The D14 is more used for Intel, and high end OC. I had the 6400+ few years ago and with the Hyper 212+ i'm pretty sure that you can get a 3.8GHz stable or more with a good temperature.

Mmhm. I have to agree that the Hyper 212+ is a good cooler. And for $20-$30, the price can't be beat either.
