I know the Core 2 big guns arent at Newegg yet...

but I ordered my X6800 from microcenter this morning... and guess what TRACKING NUMBER BISHES!!! :)

No paper launch... just not everyone has them!

but now im fucking cuz I need the ASUS SE board for SLI 🙁

You can't beet that for ~$300

I know, I just went to level-adjust myself to what that translates to into relative performance --- this clock pretty much demolishes an FX-62 at 250-300 bucks depending on where you can find it.

amd is behind 😳

Dont buy it.. its ultra expensive.. this is a great place to buy it and next day shiping is only 10 bucks..

Nice Master that is a great price, and $10 next day shipping makes it even sexier… I’ll probably buy my E6600 from whoever has it in Stock first at around $350, so $357 is close enough…

Just a Heads-up, but I just ordered the E6600 at Winbook.com to be shipped on Wednesday-price was 360.00-The sales person said that he had just gotten notification that they were in stock now but would not be shipped out till Wed. to customers. He said they were going fast.

I have to note that the one I see at Winbook is an OEM so + $20 for a fan, but thanks for the heads up zippy...

What's interesting to note is that since about a year ago, NewEgg started becoming less competitive in pricing. Presumably since they have a huge customer base and people might pay the slight premium because of who they are. Granted they've got a nice website with good information. But what's to stop me from researching on NewEgg and buying from a competitor like ZZF? Nada. 😀

Exactly.

I think newegg.com will bring down their prices in a few days. It doesn't help me though 'cause I'm looking to pick up the E6600. Newegg doesn't list it and ZipZoomFly is out of stock.

I just checked newegg. They now list the E6600 and E6700, but they're out of stock. Also, they've lowered the E6300 price to $250, and the E6400 price to $300. Don't beleive me? LOOK HERE

Just take a step back, and wait a little longer... We've all been waiting for these thing for more than a month and EVERYONE is trying to get their hands on one as soon as possible... Of course this is going to cause a shortage this being a brand new product, which in turn means retailers can charge a premium on the first shipments. You know you'll be happier in the long run if you give is just a little more time and let the price level out.. just a LITTLE more time... ...my 2 cents.
