It's fast and it will be expensive... Can I get my 32nm four core i7 please? I am too much hopefull... Well Intell 32nm prosess seems to be in good track, if this leaked information is real. This time it sure does seems to be real, when you compare this to i5 and i7 65nm versions.
We really have to only hope that AMD can make their 32nm product up and running well sooner than later. There is no need for Intel to produce cheaper chips at this moment...

[citation][nom]JN77[/nom]That is what I am looking for, one of those, 2 ATI 5790 x2's 6 or 12 displays... eyefinity at its best and 24 or 28gb of ram.... Windows 7 64bit...[/citation]
to do what? This is only 3d mark vantage, it's not even a completely finished product yet.
It will probably be fast in multicore programs but games should try to get more out of more cores still.

But already AMD have from 4 months now six core processors, the opteron 24XX , and they will be releasing the 8 and 12 core version in 2010. So whats the new thing here? The six core processor? well at the price of the core i9 system, i can get a dual Six core amd opteron, resulting in already 12 cores.

and by the way, Cray, used those AMD processors in the new jaguar supercomputer. And because of the six core opterons, they achieved the number one supercomputer in the world, even faster than the ibm roadrunner, wich also was based on opteron dual cores, with cell processors. Check the CRAY JAGUAR.

So why is amd not releasing those processors for consumers? i really dont know, perhaps its a diferent strategy, but believe me those processors are very strong, more powerfull than the core i7 and the core i9. And by the time, the core i9 will be released, we will have 8 and 12 cores opteron runing.

only reason it kicks AMD's behind is because of the 6-core HT-technology, 12 threads vs 4. Yes, I know, the yorkfiled C2Q is also faster, but not by as much as the "i9".

[citation][nom]blazeorangeman[/nom]Can anybody say USB 3.0, PCI Express 3.0, SATA III, plus Core i9? Damn it I knew I shouldn't have bought a house.[/citation]

Use your tax credit money LOL!

Impressed, faster, cooler and uses less power.

Price will be the big determining factor in the end. Though with the i9's I'd assume the i7's will become the mainstream and the i5's would become the budget 'aka celeron-esque' chips...

AMD needs to get something more competitive out soon, if the i5's drop in the low $100's AMD is going to have problems.

Well it must be legit bacause I tried to read the article on PCLAB and they have already removed it because itel asked them to. I knew I should of read the whole thing last night instead of waiting till this morning. Anyone have a link to the full article?

I agreed with you all the way up to windows 7 64 bit!

What in the world? What 'similar system' do you presume to even be talking about?

Also, as much as an ATI fan as I am, if you're going for all out top components, it's probably going to be Nvidia for the cards.

[citation][nom]kartu[/nom]It consumes more power than any other CPU, but is the coolest nevertheless. That's a CPU benchmark that makes sense...[/citation]
reading fail...

Hopefully, those of us who bought the i7-900 series (I have the 920, overclocked), will be able to move to this processor without much more than a change in BIOS.

How about..

You need to sell one arm and one leg for that...Lol
