My 3 month old dell laptop is now having different core temperatures. It is a 2010 pentium p6100 with two cores. Core 1 is up by 5 to 6 degrees from core 2. It does not matter how hot or cold it goes the difference is always by 5 to 6 degrees even at full load. My laptop did fell down from my sofa thanks to the baby a week ago. I think when my latop fell it migh have shaken something inside. The laptop is working fine no problems.

Temperature differences in cores are very normal. So I wouldn't worry too much about that. There's a chance when you dropped it maybe one of the sensor's got knocked but unless your laptop is feeling considerably hotter than before, or is shutting down on its own/crashing, I wouldn't worry about it.

Most laptops can survive a bump or drop or 2 :) ~ Although obviously you want to AVOID this :)
