Corrupted USB flash drive

I have a PNY 32GB USB flash drive that shows up in "My Computer" as a CD. When I click on it, it asks to "insert a disk into removable drive (i)". My partitioning software "EaseUS Partition Master 10.0" doesn't see the drive at all and Diskpart see it as No Media in it. It shows in Disk Management also as a removable drive with no media and no name, only a drive letter. If I try to update the driver it calls it a USB MEMORY BAR device.

How can I get this back to being a standard flash drive? I'm using Win 7 64bit OS and have the drive plugged straight into the computer.

Many thanks for any help,

1) Dont use that software because its the reason why your USB is like this
2) When you plug the usb in go to your file explorer then right click where ever the USB shows up and click format then format it. You will loose everything on the drive but it will fix your problems.

Hi And thanks for your reply,

I tried that but only comes back with "" there is no disk in drive I: Insert disk and try again"
What software would you recommend for partitioning etc.? I prefer something with a GUI rather then using command line..

Thanks again,
