Question Corsair 680x Fan Placement

I recently spent more than I wanted on a case and in the interest in getting the best airflow I wanted to ask a few questions. The case has three fans in front for entry (even though there is a glass right in front of them). and I have one single fan for outlet in the back of the case. The case has an opening on top and one at the bottom and I've seen people install fans on both. My question is would the fans on top be for entry and the bottom for exit or the other way around?
