Question Corsair Vengeance DDR5 (128GB) crashes boot on my B650 Gaming X AX V2 mobo. Looking for alternative and reliable RAM

Hi everyone

My RAM is causing booting issues after enabling EXPO-1 on my motherboard. The RAM was only running at 3600MHz as opposed to its advertised 5600MHz. I tested this a few times and had to reset my motherboard's battery to reset the BIOS and luckily managed to get back into BIOS after a few resets.

I've seen some Reddit threads with the same issues with this brand of RAM specifically so I'm looking for a reliable replacement

Here's my current kit:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 4.2 GHz 16-Core

GPU-Gigabyte GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G

RAM - Corsair Vengeance 128 GB (4 x 32 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Memory

MOBO - Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX AM5 Motherboard

OS - Windows 10 64-bit

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need more info.

Hi

Yes this happened initially with the A2 B2 configuration (2x32GB).

Then I bought the same and doubled but still got the same results (4x32GB).

So if I want 128GB of RAM I'm better off finding 2x64GB rather than 4x32GB?

There don't appear to be any 2x64GB for my Motherboard so I've ordered the G.SKILL Flare X5 Series (AMD Expo) DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) 5200MT/s CL40-40-40-83 1.10V which should hopefully do the trick.

Might have to get a higher quality Motherboard in that case as I could really do with 128GB RAM.
