[SOLVED] could i run a 75 watt graphics card on a 50 watt motherboard slot

my motherboard slot only supplies 50 watts to the gpu. Could I use a 75 watt gpu like a gtx 1050 ti low profile or a gtx 1650 low profile if I used a cable to connect it to the power supply.

cards that need more power will NEED that 75W from the slot. even with a power cable to the card it will not have the base 75W it needs
you will be limited to cards like the gt 1030 and other low power 30W cards

What kind of motherboard is that ? i thought the minimum was 75w since pci-e 2.0 slots

for standard boards yes.
OEMs do not have to follow the standards. some smaller SFF system will be limited by the PSU installed (8 pin main power not 24-pin) and thus the PCIe slots are power limited to deal with the PSU limitation.
