Counter Strike (An online video game) freezes due to error

when i'm playing counter strike, about 10 minutes in counter strike freezes and i get this error saying vpu recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics commands. Please help me

It sounds to me that there is a possibility that you video card may be overheating. Do you have proper cooling on the machine? I have to take the side panel off and have a fan sitting next to it.

If this does not work, I would install the latest video card driver. The final step would be to delete the files from steam and re-download the game. Hopefully this helps.
