I've been out of the loop for about 5 years (since my last PC). It's starting to show its age and I'm considering an upgrade. I've checked a couple advice posts and reviews and managed to put together a build however I understand the 9th gen of Intel is a bit controversial.

Intel Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor

Noctua NH-D15S 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler

Asus PRIME Z390-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

Corsair RMi 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HXpV3t These are the parts I already have

These are the components I've chosen but I'm getting mixed opinions about whether the motherboard will support the 9th gen out of the box without a bios update. I'm not experienced with AMD systems at all and want to go with Intel path unless it would be a ridiculous investment compared to an AMD build value/performance wise.

My question is: Is this a good build for mid range gaming and will I run into problems with the CPU and motherboard?

Thanks in advance (Edited, hope this format is better)

Solution
Unless your doing video editing I'd drop the memory down to 16gb and use some of those savings for the 8700K or 9700K. While 6 cores may be ok for now I'd go withe 6C/12T or 8 cores for longevity.
