Question CPU at 99 degrees.

Hello, yesterday I replaced the thermal paste on my 7 year old PC for the first time since build. I replaced it cause my CPU was reaching up to 80 degrees during heavy loads. After I replace it my CPU constantly says its at 90-99degrees when under minor load, my PC has been on now for 2 hours approx and on seems cool, but my Speccy says otherwise. The CPU fan is spinning, and seems to be working fine.



Help?

To me, that indicates you didn't put it back together correctly.

Agreed. Sounds like the CPU cooler is not properly attached/tightened.

What cooler is being used to cool the CPU? The crappy Intel OEM one?
