Specs: AMD FX Radeon 580
Amd FX 4300 Processor
8Gb of 1600 ram

So i recently upgraded from a amd fx 460 to a 580 looking to improve my fps. I got it and installed it and its working fine and everything but I still get the same fps as the 460 that I previously used. Please help because i am really looking for some good fps.

Solution

If your FPS doesn't increase when you lower your settings then yes you'd benefit from a better CPU however the FX socket is pretty outdated so unless your getting a better CPU for next to nothing it's really not worth it. Save up for AMD Ryzen/B450 MB/DDR4 memory.
The ryzen 5 2600 offers better performance than any cpu on your current mobo, as well as has 12 theads, support for the low latency ddr4 included, and works great in the b450 mobo selected. It is an overclockable cpu that usually manages 4.0ghz no problem
