Ahhh.... My Old GPU died
It was a beautiful 9400GT. It served me very well.
It started getting way too hot and crashing. Any fix for it?

But now its time for a Upgrade to my Old System
So, the question is:

Will my Pentium D 820 3.36 Ghz Bottleneck a 7750?
And which brand to go for?

I can Overclock my Pentium high but it is Failing to boot when I OC it over 3.3 Ghz.
Any fix for that?
Is it worth upgrading or I should game at my New Rig only? It has a GTX 660. :sarcastic:

I chose a 7750 because I'm not sure about my PSU.
I don't have a Specific Budget.
I just want the Best card that my CPU can handle.

But why my CPU doesn't OC higher?
My Current Temps are 30 idle and 60 load.
Which is pretty awesome for so high Overclock from stock (2.8 Ghz)!

I think I should order the 7750.
I was thinking if it could handle a 7770. But it won't, I guess.

The CPU overclock could be failing that high due to the motherboard. Its an increase in power draw for that as well and if something is getting to hot there it will stop the OC.

It will bottleneck some, but it shouldn't be too bad. Newer the game, the worse it will be. the 7750 is around the speed of the 9800GTX/GTS250 which was paired with the 820 back in the day. I'd put your 820 at 3.2GHz so that you have a bit of headroom and get the 7750.

So, I'll not be able to Overclock further?
I have checked everything, nothing is heating. The CPU runs way cool.

I have achieved a Stable OC to 3.36 Ghz. Is it enough to give a little relief?
Will further Overclocking improve the performance, as more headroom will be available for 7750?

I can buy a Aftermarket Cooler for Overclocking.

I think an optimum choise it'll be a 8800GT/9800GT Second Hand...(and if the PSU is 400-450W) and keep your processor at stock speed... I don't think you notice a great performance at 3.36 GHz. Me, personally, I don't like the idea of a 2012 video card in a 2005 pc...
