Question CPU clocking at max speed (even in power saving mode)

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X - Cooler: Wraith Spire - Case: NZXT 510 Elite - Bios up to date

My ryzen 5 3600x is constantly clocking at 4.3ghz.

This wasn't always like that, i have no idea why this is the case right now.
I tried putting windows on power saving mode but the CPU is still clocking at max speed.

If anyone know how this could happen and what i can potentially do about it i would love to hear it.

Thanks for your time, I appreciate it!

Have you got pbo enabled? Run hwinfo see what individual cores are doing, if clock speeds are min/maxing then I'd say its fine, just how Ryzen runs but if they are all just stuck at max then I'd reset your bios or update it if one is available.

Looks fine to me bud. Ryzen core clocks jump up and down as they wake and sleep and your averages look middle of the road so it's not stuck at max boost.

But how is that on power saving mode and 'cool and quite' feature of AMD enabled in BIOS the CPU is still running on those high clock speed at 0% load?

Before my clockspeed and fan rpm used to drop really low when idle, now they are running at full power

OK have you recently installed any new monitoring programs before HWinfo that run in the background? Potentially that could be causing your core clocks speed to keep showing as high with low utilisation. Now if your computer is sat on desktop idling with no programs running and you still have higher than before fan speeds then you might have a temperature issue or there is something running in the background, anti virus, anti malware etc.

No, no software or programs running in the background at all
