So I was running a system with a msi h110m pro vd plus motherboard inside it with a pentium g4560. I bought an i5 9600k and forgot to check that my motherboard was compatable. both cpu's run the same socket lga1151 so it fit in the socket. I then tried to start the computer but it wouldn't start the lights for the fans and on the motherboard would turn on for a second then shut off. After realising the motherboard I have doesn't support the i5 9600k I bought a new motherboard which will arrive soon. The issue is im kind of paranoid that somehow there is possible damage to the cpu if possible could anyone let me know if my i5 would have any damage because what I did.
