Just depends if your have a bent pin then it probably won't if you have enough to start building the PC you should build it and test it. However if you are still building the PC and don't plan to have it ready for a few weeks you may want to request a return from Amazon due to possible damage.
The Intel i7-7700k does not have "pins".
It is a flat surface on the bottom. The 'pins' are on the motherboard socket.
AMD CPU's have pins.
so do u think it is safe to use, or do u think I should return it. I already have a pc and am trying to upgrade it to the i7 processor. The reason i am hesitant to test it rn is i would have to buy more thermal paste if it does not work
