Hi hello
My i5-4690 non k been running hot lately, like 70-72°C under heavy load, idle temps were fine, around 30-40°C. The fan doesn't ramp up, it's stuck at 1.4k RPM, i was concerned that it'll shorten my cpu's life.
My setup:
i5-4690, 3.5 - 3.9 Ghz
Cooler Master i70c (4 pin)
ECS H81H3-MV
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
GPU 1 Palit GTX 970 JETSTREAM, 76°C at full load
GPU 2 Zotac GTX 1060 6GB
WD Caviar Blue 500GB 7.2K RPM
FSP RAIDER 550W 80+ Bronze
Digging around BIOS i found Smart Fan Control, there are 4 preset, Normal, Manual, Quiet and Silent.
Current settings:
Smart Fan Control ENABLED
Smart Fan Mode NORMAL
Smart Fan Start PWM Value 180
Smart Fan Start Temp (DTS) 70
DeltaT +3
Smart Fan Slope PWM Value 10 PWM Value / Unit
CPU Fan Full Speed Offset (DTS) 77 <- I can't change this manually unless i use existing preset = Normal, Quiet and Silent
HWMonitor Shows Fan Control Speed 0.0%
Anybody here knows how to tweak those settings so my fan will keep the cpu cool? Like below 65°C under heavy load? I have no idea how to do it.
Thanks
